Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD grew out of a previous product, Autodesk Volume, which was a desktop drawing application for adding geometric figures, such as circles, arcs, and lines, using a device called a “snap mechanism” or “point-and-draw”. Volume was sold commercially by volume (in units), which often led to disputes over which volume was the most popular.
AutoCAD began as the 1987 version of Volume. Volume 2 and 3 followed in 1988 and 1989, respectively.
AutoCAD originated from the idea of allowing a single user to design several drawings at once, as opposed to requiring multiple users at separate computers. This goal also enabled the creation of other drawings. These other drawings could be stored as a “snap file”, or file with the extension.sna, a text file containing a snap description. These snapshots could then be retrieved to use as a drawing reference for the CAD operation. AutoCAD could also read snap files, and display them on the screen.
By the time of AutoCAD Version 3, the product was not particularly easy to learn, and many users found it difficult to master. However, the application had many tools and functions, and all of the tools had a direct command line or click interface.
AutoCAD 3.0 and later introduced the ability to edit drawings in groups.
Version 5 introduced an icon-based interface. It was easy to use, but not very stable.
AutoCAD 2000 introduced a completely new interface and introduced a template-based model.
AutoCAD 2002 also introduced a new interface and design tools.
AutoCAD 2004 also introduced a new interface and new design tools.
AutoCAD 2006 introduced new features, such as the “Gesture Technology” for the command line and the App tool, and introduced AutoLISP as a scripting language.
AutoCAD 2007 introduced new features, such as the Drafting Center, enhanced graphics, and easier file sharing.
AutoCAD 2009 introduced a new user interface.
AutoCAD 2010 introduced new features, such as an updated graphic system, 3D modeling, improved 2D and 3D rendering, and graphics tools for technical drafting.
AutoCAD 2011 introduced new features, such as a new 2D and 3D drawing and modeling tools, enhancements to existing features, and a new 2D and 3D graphic system.
AutoCAD 2012 introduced

Many software libraries can access the AutoCAD API, in order to automate certain processes. Autodesk’s XAML Library allows XAML-based UIs that can be built on AutoCAD. Python and Java scripting can be used for drawing and modeling automation. Python also has access to the AutoCAD API and the open source language library PyAutoCAD provides access to the AutoCAD API and, as of version 2.6, the open source API AutoCAD Add-in for Python. There is also AutoCAD Python for use in Python 2.6 and higher. Visual Studio includes Visual Studio Tools for AutoCAD.
AutoCAD also uses XML for access to most of its features. An XML representation of the drawing is provided by an X++ module (or macro) as a side effect of the import. XML is also used to communicate changes made to the drawing during the life-cycle of a drawing, e.g., during the update phase. For this purpose, two types of XML files are provided: the XML files associated with commands during import and the XML files generated by AutoLISP during the life-cycle of the drawing. This XML format can be inspected and modified. As of AutoCAD R18, X++ natively supports XML, while other programming languages still have to use an external XML parser.
Versions 2 and later of AutoCAD have introduced an import XML tab on the Ribbon.
AutoCAD 2019 includes the following features:
New block-based interface and user interface
A new (first-party) ribbon-based interface for the last update
A new (first-party) ribbon-based interface for the drawing windows
Support for Inkscape as a new import/export format
New SVG-based viewports
AutoCAD 2019 also includes many new features and an improved drawing performance.
Some key features of AutoCAD 2019 are:
SVG-based views (experimental)
New block-based interface and user interface
New first-party UI
AutoCAD 2019 is a 64-bit product, so a 64-bit operating system is required.
AutoCAD 2018 includes the following features:
The first-party ribbon-based interface
New drawing window for block-based interface and user interface
New first-party UI and

Correct syntax for a SQL statement using coalesce
I have been searching for the correct syntax for my query but cannot find the correct one for my needs.
I have the following SQL Statement that is supposed to give me the correct result for the Name column.
SELECT NAME FROM Customers
WHERE NAME!= ”
SELECT NAME FROM Customers
WHERE NAME = COALESCE(”)
What I want to achieve is that the result for the Customers table should be like this:
I don’t want the result to be
And my question is: Is it possible for me to achieve this result by using only one SELECT statement?
Your first example is bad. COALESCE returns only one value. If there are multiple rows with ” in Name, your query will give you an empty row. Also, it will give you empty values in Name for rows that don’t have any empty values. The following query will work:
SELECT CASE WHEN NAME IS NOT NULL
END AS Name
However, this is not exactly the same as the first query. The first query can return multiple empty rows, while this query can return multiple non-empty rows. So there may be a subtle difference, depending on what you want.

What’s New In AutoCAD?
Continuous updates: AutoCAD 2023 will be updated regularly to address and resolve any issues identified. For more information, see AutoCAD Software Updates.
Graphical User Interface Improvements:
Match Control bar with text selection: To create exact matches, use the new Match Control bar. You can choose any part of the drawing by right-clicking on the drawing window and selecting Match Control from the context menu. Match Control bar snaps to other selectable objects and features, making it easy to add or remove objects to match selection. To create exact matches, use the new Match Control bar.
